Since 2022, rumours have been swirling that Chinese actress Tang Wei's almost 10-year marriage to Korean director Kim Tae Yong, 54, is on the rocks. Though she has repeatedly dismissed rumours, talk has been rife that the couple
Tang Wei addressed divorce speculations again when she guested on Hong Kong star Carol Cheng’s The Do Show.
"It's completely impossible," she said, adding that she doesn’t care about the rumours.
“We are very happy. We are busy with our own work and the most important thing for us now is to focus on taking care of our daughter,” she said.
Tang Wei revealed that she once jokingly told her daughter: "For me, the most important people are my parents, then husband, and you are third."
She added:“My daughter looked upset so I explained to her, ‘Someday, you will find a husband like your dad.”
Tang Wei shared that her husband is a doting dad who can’t say no to their daughter.
Tang Wei and Tae Yong met on the set of2011 English-language film Late Autumn, which the latter directed.
They tied the knot three years later and welcomed their daughter in 2016.
Despite being married for 10 years, Tang Wei shares that the couple still communicate in English as they have become accustomed to it.
In fact, she can barely speak Korean and only learned the language when she filmed Korean movieDecision To Leave in 2022.
